Lochcarron is only one of two points to Start the North Coast 500 route
NC 500 is a 500 mile round trip of some of the most stunning coastal and mountain scenery in Europe, if not the world. Developed as a community inspired project, this is a long term project that will give the visitor the opportunity to take in a wide range of experiences along a trail that can take in anything from a long weekend to a full two week visit. Drive a section - or drive the whole trail - your choice!
Come up the scenic west coast to Lochcarron passing some of the most spectacular scenery you can imagine and join the NC500 at Lochcarron. Stay the night and start your journey heading through Wester Ross and up the west coast. On your return stay in the Lochcarron area and enjoy some wonderful hospitality.
North Coast 500 offers more than 500 miles of the best the North Highlands has to offer and described as “Scotland's answer to Route 66”. Start at Lochcarron, the ideal starting point for those coming up the wonderful west coast route from Glasgow and about. Use Lochcarron as a base to explore Skye before you head north on the 500.
